Me.........
One of us pushes away any and all sentimentality and either boxes or tosses anything that does not hold monetary value (cause those things get sold) or have some form of use in daily life. The sets out every little object ever given to them by random relatives and friends they haven't seen in years, or made at a camp when they were 10 (literally!).Well I'll give you a clue...................
He threw something out today and asked to throw out more and I wanted to cry.........HAPPY TEARS! FINALLY!!!!
My husband can not get rid of anything, ever, no matter where it came from, who gave it to him, how old he was when he went there, who taught him how to make it, doesn't matter, it sits out for the whole world (or the few people who enter our townhouse) to admire! (yeah right!)
So, what caused this miraculous revelation?
I asked him to dust, everything, while I was out.
And yes, the realization that his stuff took 15 times longer to dust than mine, made the lightbulb go off that said "MAYBE YOU HAVE TOO MUCH STUFF!"
So, when we get back from Texas, we're taking one area a weekend and getting rid of stuff, by his own choosing!
Hallelujah!
The Happy Soon to be Organized Couple!

I am a tosser just like you. Clutter makes me go crazy. I do keep some things but they have to be sentimental and pretty. I'm glad that your husband is finally coming around and I'm sure he'll be much happier with a whole lot less stuff.
