So, I've been off all morning, and I don't have to leave for my first lesson until 3:00! This is a first in over 3 weeks! You have no idea how exciting this is! Even without kids, getting down time is a struggle for me, husband works somewhat opposite hours from me, and when I get home at night I try to spend as much time as possible with him even if I really just want down time. The last 3 weeks have been non-stop 13-14 hour days, with very little time for me to spend alone. Today, that changed!
My morning routine today-
COFFEE!
Work on Youth Group Stuff
Work on MOPS Stuff (I coordinate the childcare workers)
Go SHOPPING!!!! Oh yes! I went to the mall alone, and walked around with a frappuccino! Even though I didn't buy anything, it was still just a huge stress reliever to window shop by myself, not really needing to get anything accomplished, not having to talk to anyone I didn't want to, not having people ask me questions, nothing, alone, in a mall full of moms with strollers walking around for exercise. What wonderful peace!
Now, off to load the dishwasher on my way out the door for lessons. :) All 8 of them!

Did you have fun on your "me" morning? I love those kinds of days! It doesn't matter if you have kids, are married or whatever. Everybody needs to have some kind of break!
