I survived!

Good morning, I'm still here. :)

Yesterday was a crazy huge mess, but I guess people were still pleased.

I had 3 people cancel on me for babysitting within 36 hours of the program, so we were 3 adults short in the childcare area.

I had 1 person not show.

And, we had 9 more kids show up, not registered, all but one in the infants or toddler room, which need the most adults to begin with. Great!

Oh, and one biter in the toddler room with 14 other kids and 3-4 adults depending on staff rotations.

Yeah, it was a fun morning.

I made most my rounds around the building checking on my classrooms with the scream instigator from the infants room on my hip. If you sat him down he screamed bloody murder until all the kids in the room were screaming with him, so we had to hold him the entire morning, so instead of making one of the women working in the room stand the whole time with him on their hip, I kept him with me cause he was a small group leaders kid, so we couldn't make his mom keep him. So, I was pushing a food cart with curriculum and adult snacks on it around the building with one hand while carrying an 8 month old the size of most of the 11 month olds on my hip. Yeah, it was pleasant, especially since I'm very out of shape when it comes to baby carrying. I've babysat and nannied constantly since I was 12, but at this point it's not like I'm babysitting for anyone new with new babies or anything, most of my families kids barely need a sitter anymore.

So, needless to say my arms are dead this morning, and I have roughly three sink loads of dishes to do for lack of doing anything around the house in order to get everything put together for yesterday, so I'm going to go clean a bit now. I wouldn't mind seeing my kitchen again. :)

I knew you could do it! Sorry about the arms though. Those kids can be "killers"! ha, ha

Yea I don't know if I could ever actually sell it. My cousin made a christening dress for her daughter out of her dress, my husband suggested keeping it for that reason but I think that I could sell before I could allow myself to cut it up kinda reminds me of something you would do to a dress after a divorce
