Crazy Weather

So 90 degrees, not bad huh? If it was July! This is so not fun! Usually in Rochester we're getting ready to pull out boots and sweaters, and we've gone back to wearing jeans without being too terribly hot, and life is good. I love fall cause I can feel like a modest adult going into people's homes to teach instead of like I'm a kid on summer vacation. My car doesn't have air, so jeans are typically out of the question from Memorial Day to Labor Day, except this year when it was 60 for a week in August, but come September this is what I want to be wearing!

I'm such a jeans freak. I love my Gap jeans. My dad has always said I'm a "yuppy" because I wear Gap jeans and drink Starbucks. I don't really care though. It's been forever since I've bought new jeans, but I just ordered a new pair of boots online at 6pm.com (for only $30!) so I think new jeans to go with them isn't too much to ask.

Also, September is when all the coffee shops start bringing in their fall favorites, which are all hot drinks, and they don't taste as good when you're in shorts and flipflops. I don't know about where you are, but with Starbucks, and most stuff up here, price of drink is affected by how much dairy goes in it. Most hot drinks are alot less milky than cold drinks so they're cheaper too, which for me means more frequent. Please fall, hurry up!

Maybe I'm just whining because I have to get in my car in 2 hours and drive around and it's already 74 and is supposed to be 88 by this afternoon and I'm not looking forward to the heat, but maybe I'm whining cause this year the weather was just plain weird. Who else had 80 degrees in April in NY and found that strange? Also, 60 and rain in August? I think the months got confused. I just remember seeing 48 degrees a few weeks ago at about 8:00am and thinking fall was coming early and getting all excited, guess it fooled me with Indian Summer. I shouldn't complain though, it could be worse, it could be snowing already.

I'm just looking forward to fall, jeans sweaters and boots, Starbucks in the car on the way to drive around and see the amazing leaves on the weekend. How someone can look at leaves like these and not appreciate fall, I don't know!
