A little more about me

So, I named this blog based on what my life is about. Marriage, Ministry, Music and Memories.

Marriage because it comes pretty much first in my life. God has worked in our marriage in so many ways over the last two years and helped us grow, and taught us so much, and led us through so much, I can't even begin to describe it. I honestly don't like to think about our newlywed stage because when we first started out things kind of stunk, but eventually we got through things and now I think we've truly hit that totally bliss-filled, lovey-dovey, exciting stage of a new marriage. It only took us 2 years, but we got here.

Ministry, because that's where our passion lies. Adam graduated from Elim in 2005 ready to jump into youth ministry, or so he thought, but obviously God didn't think he was ready. We've served in various volunteer positions, and are now somewhat heading up the youth ministry program at our church. It's coming, and growing. The church has about 180 regular attenders and a youth group roster of around 40, but rarely do we have much more than a dozen kids in a weekend. It's a newly established youth program that's changed leadership several times, but we're finally bringing some consistancy to it. It's fun to watch the kids grow and ake ownership of their ministry though. We've also jumped into various other ministries. Adam's basically become the church photographer, and I play in worship team and help out with the little kids. We're at church quite a bit, and would be more if it wasn't 30 miles away.

Music, because that's what I do. I teach all levels piano and beginner guitar. I love it! When I was like eight years old I decided to my goal in life was to eventually be a stay at home, homeschooling, piano teaching mom. So far the piano teaching is there, and thankfully that's all that's there. We're so not ready for kids. That was my goal by 30, I can't say I mind doing it now though, being my own boss is so much better than any job I've ever had.

Memories, is for our photography business. We run "Adanie Photography" from our home. We shoot weddings, senior portraits, baby and family photos and events on top of our regular day jobs. We love being able to shoot weddings together, as it's a million times easier having two photographers, plus, it allows us to relive a little bit of our wedding through each one we shoot.

I think that's basically it. Now you know a little bit about me since I've been learning about most of you already.
