So we both made it through yesterday alive, which is a good thing considering what my husband does for a living.
He works for an agency in Rochester, which I probably shouldn't name becasue of the OMRDD and Hippa laws, but basically he works with kids in a school setting that need a lot of help. His title is "School Based Sociiotherapist" which is basically a Teacher's Assistant/Referee. He frequently comes home with big bruises, welts, scratches, etc from his kids. One day last year a kid lost it (A really big 200 something pound kid!) and threw him into a wall, half his body was bruised up after that and he ended up staying home using one of his sick days because of it to ice the really big welts on his shoulder and arm. This winter he called me frm health services to say they were sending him home to ice his neck cause some kid kicked him in the throat. He thought nothing of it until I explained that could have collapsed his airway and killed him. Then he basically freaked and went all paranoid on me. He's not supposed to use his phone at work to make personal calls, but he can check messages, so this year we added texting to our cell plan, cause I was getting kind of tired of freaking out every time he called me during the work day. This way when he has a quick question for some form of paperwork, he doesn't have to make my heart stop. It's wierd, I never thought texting could be comforting, but just having him text me to let me know he'd had a good day was a huge relief.
My first day was a short one, only 3 lessons, all in one neighborhood because of it being the first day of school. One little girl and two boys, pretty basic. Today the fun starts, 7 lessons in 4 hours, alot of thinking with very little time to unwind in between. Fun stuff, my brain is going to be so dead tonight. The first three are advanced teenage girls, then three beginners, then one beginner guitar. And basically all live a mile or so apart so I get 5 minutes of piece in my car between them all.
Oh, and tomorrow, pictures are coming up, I think, if I can figure out what I want to put up. I need to put up something! You can't have a photography business and professional camera in the house and not plaster your blog with photos. :)
