Goodbye 2009!

01. Where did you begin 2009? at my parents house in Houston

02. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before? Watch my little sister get married

03. What was your status by Valentine’s Day? Married

04. Were you in school (anytime this year)? Not for my own education

05. How did you earn your money? Teach lots and lots of piano and guitar lessons.

06. Did you have to go to the hospital? Nope

07. Did you have any encounters with the police? No actually!

08. Where did you go on holidays? In-laws for Easter, Aunts for the 4th, In-laws for Thanksgiving and Christmas, all the little holidays, either in-laws or home

09. What did you purchase that was over $1000? Nothing yet, buying a new engine for the husband's car next week that we've been saving for all year

10. Did you know anybody who got married? My sister! Several old friends and friends of my sister's, it's the age

11. Did you know anyone that passed away? A couple of the husband's extended relatives, that I'd never met, if that counts? A great uncle I hadn't seen in a decade, think that's it.

12. Did you know anyone who had a baby? Megan! Baby number 2 inside of two years! Lots of women in the MOPS group I work for.

13. Did you move? No, but we packed! That doesn't quite count, does it?

14. What concerts/shows did you go to? Tim McGraw care of the Bee :) I only go to free concerts nowadays, :(

15. Are you registered to vote? Yes

16. Who did you want to win Big Brother? Proud to say I've never seen an episode of it in my life

17. Where do you live now? Townhouse with the husband, same one we started in when we got married 3 1/2 years ago.

18. Describe your birthday...I honestly can't remember much, take out dinner and a chick flick, though I couldn't tell you which one. Just a lazy Sunday night skipping out of working youth group.

19. What’s one thing you thought you’d never do, but did in 2009? Agree to and plan to move back in with my parents

20. What has been your favorite moment? Hanging in Florida for a week in a very cool condo with my entire family ranks pretty high

21. What’s something you learned about yourself? I can swallow my pride and keep my opinion to myself without it physically hurting, so I should be sucking it up and dealing more

22. Any new additions to your family? My new brother-in-law?

23. What was your best month? Don't know if there really was one, half of June and half of July, it was a month's period, but not one specific month

24. What was your worst month? February stunk pretty badly

25. What music will you remember 2009 by? Anything Tim McGraw, probably "Southern Voice" his concerts are amazing!

26. Who has been your best drinking buddy? What drinking buddy? Coffee drinking maybe, probably Laurie if we're talking coffee

27. Made new friends? New students families, new youth group kids, new blogger friends

28. Lost friends? Lost touch with friends, yes

29. Favorite night out? A couple of months ago when I came home and the husband was dressed up and waiting at the door to take me out to dinner, totally spontaneously

30. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Pretty neutral, the moving stress is kind of eating away at everything else
ii. thinner or fatter? About the same
iii. richer or poorer? Richer, if you can call it that, we have a little less debt, still no money

31. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? April 18th, my little sister got married, definitely the biggest day of the year

Enjoyed your blog since I started reading it in September I think it was. Forever etched in my mind for 2009 will be August 3rd. The day my son deployed to Iraq for a year. May 2010 be a prosperous and happy one for you and yours!
