The Best Freakin Brownies EVER!!!!

So, these are my Aunt Faye's brownies. Well not really Aunt, parents best friend from before I was born, adopted aunt. Every year she tells me I don't have to feel like I have to call her "Aunt Faye" anymore for respect reasons, but I'm closer to her than any of my real aunts, so she'll always be "Aunt Faye".

Aunt Faye's Brownie Recipe-
4 oz. Unsweetened Baking Chocolate (the block kind)
2/3 C Butter
4 Eggs
2 C Sugar
2 tsp Vanilla
1 1/3 C Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease bottom and sides of 9x13 pan

Melt Chocolate and Butter in double boiler or mug in the microwave. Semi melt chocolate, then add butter and mix until creamy.

Beat Eggs and Sugar together. Add in chocolate mixture and vanilla.

Stir in Flour, Salt and Baking Powder.

Pour into pan and bake for 22-25 minutes, or until sides start to pull away.

Normally I cover the batter in white chocolate and semi sweet chips before baking, but I was out. Either that or I frost them with the following chocolate butter cream, but again, nearly out of confectioners sugar, so they may just be plain brownies unless I have time to run to the store. They're just for reunion people, so I guess I don't care that they're plain, though impressing them couldn't hurt. Hmm......

Aunt Faye's Chocolate Butter Cream Recipe-
1 stick softened butter
1/2 a bag (2 1/2ish Cups) Confectioners Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
2 TB Chocolate Jello Mix
a little bit of Milk

Beat Butter, Sugar, Jello Mix and Vanilla together until blended and chunky. Gradually add small amounts of milk until creamy. It should be thick enough to stick up on a spatula, but not dry looking.

Note-Either use an electric mixer or beat really well with a whisk or the jello mix will bead up like the exfoliating beads in body wash!

These brownies seriously are the best thing in the world and don't need anything, but I like to make them a little fancy. Plus, my husband is a big kid and loves his frosting!

ENJOY!
