Why can't there be such a thing as rain days?

So I'm thinking, when it's gray and rainy, like it is today, there should be some form of free day off you can take to just stay in bed and watch movies in your sweats all day. Cause seriously, I could go for that right about now.

I'm not really looking forward to going to nanny the kid who needs you to be constantly involved and hates watching movies, or even just playing on his own with you in the room, doesn't fly well with this kid. If I take a phone call, he's right there watching me even if I step out of the room. If he's playing his racing video game, I can't be looking at a magazine or working on paperwork or anything, I must watch the screen or he gets all upset, and heaven forbid I sit on the steps and watch him ride his bike in the driveway, I have to walk around next to the bike.

Yeah, the job pays well, I adore his mom, but seriously, as the weather turns worse, this is going to get old. The family I used to nanny for would play on their own, even when it was just the littlest one home as long as I was in sight and I could either clean up morning mess before naptime, or take care of a few emails or phone calls, while he was awake and it was no big deal, as long as he could see me, I didn't have to be constantly involved. I could see that he wasn't getting into trouble, but didn't really have to interact unless he started acting mischievous.

Maybe this is the reason I'm still not that interested in kids, I'm too set in my ways about how I spend my time. Of course, maybe that's because I never really get "my time".
