Pictures

So you'd think with a photography business, I'd be taking pictures all the time, right? I'd be trying each day to perfect my style and technique and shooting everything all the time, no matter what, right? I don't know if I'm just weird, but that's not the case with me. Maybe it's the fact that my camera is huge and bulky and a pain to take places with me, or just pull out and shoot every little thing, or maybe it's the fact that my life's so busy I rarely just sit back an enjoy anything enough to take a picture of it, or maybe, I just don't think to most the time.

I've been going back through old pictures finding ones to print and hang on walls, and realizing, that there are very select things I shoot when I'm not getting paid to shoot. I have very few candids of us doing anything. We have a ton of very similar pictures of us in front of things on all the roadtrips we've taken, but very very few every day pictures. I rarely take pictures of my husband, and he doesn't have a single just casual one of me. There are no pictures of our home, and very few of our family.

I need to work on this, I need to start taking pictures of our real life, not just pictures from trips and events. Maybe I need to save some money and pick up an easy drop in my purse for emergencies camera. I've casually looked at Canon Powershots, the higher model ones, but they're a bit pricy for a point and shoot. I want something I can drop in a case in my purse and grab, all ready to go if something strikes me as something to take a picture of, without having to assemble my regular camera gear, but it doesn't really make sense to me to spend $300-400 on a for fun camera when that amount of money would easily pay for a new lens.

What to do, what to do.

Once I settle on my print order maybe I'll throw a few up on here so you can see what will be hanging on my walls.
