So the concert was amazing!
I honestly think Tim McGraw sounds better in person than on radio/cd. Phenomenal voice live!
I only wish we'd had real seats, not grass ones so I could see the stage, and not just the screens, but for free, I would have stood in the parking lot :)
It was really was a strange experience though. I grew up going to a ton of Christian concerts thanks to my dad. I'd seen Michael W Smith (twice), Amy Grant, Jars of Clay, Third Day, Newsboys al before highschool, and then after that I probably went to 2 or 3 concerts a year, not including Kingdom Bound (NY's major Christian Music Festival at Six Flags Darien Lake). But, it wasn't until the husband and I were engaged that I had my first exposure to a secular concert. I've been a huge country fan since highschool, but I was limited because my parents were not, so when I won tickets to the box seats at a Keith Urban concert I couldn't have been more excited! Especially a month before our wedding when we were stressed and broke. :) That was a classy country concert, cause we were sitting in a balcony box with catered food and wine. Last night was a whole other ball of wax!
College kids drunk and dirty dancing, 40-50something women drunk, falling over and dirty dancing with each other, and an interesting group of very homosexual women chainsmoking and screaming at random throughout the night.
But it was fun, even back on the grass with the crazies.
Next time I'm bringing a blanket to sit on, and taking a Claritin so I can breath through the smoke though.
