Aren't I a Lucky Girl?!

That's what was waiting on my kitchen counter for me this morning. Snickerdoodles, Chocolate Chip Cookies, My Banana Bread, Sarah's Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Sarah's Banana Nut Bread.
The above Banana Bread (which is now serving as my breakfast!) and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies were originally accompanied by a second bag of chocolate chip cookies, but those found a home in my stomach last night :). Oatmeal Chocolate Chip were my mom's favorite growing up, but the husband honestly just isn't a fan of oatmeal anything, so I hardly ever make them, so I was in heaven last night!
The above are the baked goods in my house, and the bag of apples soon will be baked into a Deep Dish, French Crumb Apple Pie, yumm!
And the Snickerdoodles! I seriously used to sell these in our neighborhood garage sale as a kid. I've been using the same recipe for 12-13 years now, I don't know where my mom got it, so I can't give it credit, but I love it! Seriously, a single cookie would get me 50 cents, and when you make up 100 of these and you're sold out by 1pm, that's alot of dough (pardon the pun!) for a 12 year old!

Anyways, for your enjoyment, and per Sarah's request, the Recipe!-

1/2 Cup Softened Butter
1/2 Cup Shortening
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla (I use the clear with these cookies) Extract
2 3/4 Cups Flour
2 ts Cream of Tartar
1 ts Baking Soda
Pinch of Salt

Additional-
1/3 Cup Sugar
1 Tb Cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400.

Cream together Butter, Shortening, Sugar, Eggs and Vanilla.

In a separate bowl, combine Flour, Cream of Tartar, Baking Soda and Salt, add in 1/2-1 cup at a time.

In a small bowl, combine extra Sugar and Cinnamon.

Form dough into balls, (I seriously use an ice cream scoop for mine) coat in Cinnamon Sugar Mixture, place 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake 8-10 minutes, or until edges are slightly browned and middles still look a little doughy.

Let rest of cookie sheet, 2 minutes, move to rack to cool.

ENJOY!
