Just a quick rundown tonight I think. I can try to add in recipes throughout the week as I cook, I linked in two that I've already blogged about.
Monday- Spaghetti with meat sauce and steamed broccoli
Tuesday- Homemade Chicken Fingers and Fries
Wednesday-Sweet and Sour Chicken with Stir Fried Veggies and Brown Rice
Thursday-Cheap Steak I've been hoarding in the freezer, salt potatoes and corn on the cob
Friday- Homemade Pizza
Saturday- Homemade Mac & Cheese
Friday and Saturday may flip flop depending on if we go to the cottage or not, but they'll both be cooked this weekend sometime.
A couple quick things-
Laura's first chemo was this morning. She's doing good so far, but it was just the first day. They benadryled her to knock her out for the first part. She's feeling like her body temperature is a little low, like really easily cold, but other than only minor queasiness so far. She'll be going back daily til Thursday then get a week off I guess, or at least a few days, I don't have quite all the details yet, just pieced together facts from emails. I may get to see her tomorrow when I take her family dinner, I'll update the sidebar after I've spoken to either her or her husband directly and know everything's fact. Keep praying things continue to run smoothly, she's really scared for her family seeing her being a "typical chemo patient" especially her older two children who are more aware.
And, my best friend Megan is in town with her family for 3 weeks, so I'm going to get to meet her new little girl Emma before Thanksgiving!!!!!! She was born July 21st, so she's only three weeks old! I missed her little boy Aidon's birth by mere hours, and then didn't get to meet him for 4 months, so this is a real treat! I'm so psyched it's not even funny! Her little boy is on our business page, but I don't have any pictures of Emma I can show on here yet, because they've all just come to my phone via texts, though that should change Wednesday! Yay!!
