So, here's the typical Menu Monday-
Monday-
Sweet and Sour Chicken and Stir Fried Veggies over rice
Tuesday-
Burgers, Smoothies and Sweet Corn
Wednesday-
Honey BBQ Boneless Ribs, Salt Potatoes and Sweet Corn
Our grocery store sells "country style boneless ribs", (they're still all connected though) they're amazingly tender, and need very little work. I do a quick rub of 1 part salt, 1 part black pepper, 1 part Paprika, on one side only, then dip both sides in HoneyBBQ Sauce, and grill 6-7 minutes on each side, then slice into strips. So moist and tender, and much less messy than bone in ribs!
Thursday-
Date Night
Friday-
Tacos and Fruit Salad
Saturday-
Grab something quick, (probably whatever's leftover from earlier in the week) then on our way to the Redwings (AAA Baseball) with the youth group kids
Sunday-
Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs on the Grill, Rice and Steamed Veggies
Cut raw chicken into bite sized (1 inch cubish) pieces, marinade in mixture of 1-2 T Honey, 1-2 T BBQ, 1T Brown Sugar, and 1 T Water for 1-2 hours
Half Cook 2 pieces of bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
Drain 1 Can Chopped Pineapple Pieces
Alternate Pineapple, Bacon and Chicken on a Bamboo Skewer (starting and ending with pineapple holds best)
Grill one three sides, 4-5 minutes each
So this week the husband's off work, and next, and a few days of the week after, for end of summer break. So, last night we had a drop in with the youth group, this weekend we're taking a group to a baseball game, and next week we're getting things ready for fall kick-off. I'm trying to get my house completely organized before everything kicks off again in September, and we're doing a ton of stuff together just to relax around the house. We're getting passes to a putt-putt place, using up a bunch of gift cards to restaurants and a couple of BOGO coupons and just enjoying down time, at home. Then, right before the school year kicks off, we have reunion with his mom's side of the family. I'm hoping by then I'll be so relaxed from all this that I'll be able to handle it no big deal.
This fall my schedule's going to be even crazier than last year.
I'm teaching 48 lessons a week, 12:30-8:00 Monday, Nannying 9:00-2:30 and teaching 3:00-7:30 Tuesday, Teaching 11:30-8:00 Wednesday, running MOPPETS every other Thursday morning, then teaching 12:30-6:30 Thursdays.
I've decided to keep Fridays as my day off, and actually take them as days off as much as possible. I'm hoping to start scheduling children's photo shoots then more often, and actually having my house organized before the weekend instead of spending the whole weekend working on it, and actually having Sunday night Youth Group stuff ready before Sunday morning for once.
Not that any of this will happen, but in my dreamy land of husband off for two weeks, I can dream a little further ahead. :)

You are one busy girl! Those honey bbq ribs sound delicious!
Sounds like a perfectly attainable dream to me!! ;-)
So... are you a youth pastor? Just curious. I grew up a PK and my dad was the youth pastor for 25 years!! And now I work with the youth at our church as a leader... it kind've sticks with you, I guess.
