Fudge time!!

So, I used to be able to say "follow the recipe on the fluff container but do this...." when people asked about my fudge. Not anymore! Thankfully I have the recipe memorized, because they completely changed it on me this year!

(Old School) Fluff "Never Fail Fudge"

Ingredients-
5 Cups Sugar
1 Stick Butter
12 oz Fluff (about 3/4 of the container)
1 12oz can Evaporated Milk
Pinch of Salt

1 bag Milk Chocolate Chips
1 bag Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
2 TB Vanilla Extract

Grease 1 9x13 pan, and 1 9x9 pan

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large pot over low heat. Stir constantly until blended evenly.

Bring to a boil slowly over medium heat, stirring and scraping constantly to keep sugar from burning to bottom of pan. (small flecks of brown will show, and that's okay, but remove any large chunks)

Let boil 4-5 minutes, NEVER STOP STIRRING!

Use soft ball test to check if it's done. (drip small amount into bowl of cold water, if you can pinch it into a ball, it's done.)

Turn off heat. Immediately add both bags of chips and stir vigorously until fudge is evenly brown. Add Vanilla, continue to beat (by hand) until fudge starts to thicken.

Pour into pans and spread even.

Let sit 3-4 hours.

Makes 5 pounds of fudge.

WARNINGS-
Your arms will be tired, (about 40 minutes of constant stirring) switch arms throughout and get a workout!

It freezes wonderfully! Cut, wrap in plastic wrap, then insert in freezer bags. Good in the freezer for 6 months.

Plan on giving it away, because it's so good, and makes so much!

ENJOY!

Thank you for the old recipe for fudge. Last year I didn't read the contents before starting so I got to the point wgere I drop the chocolate chips in before discovering they had switched! It said to add chocolate squares. I had none. So, I was so mad! Why in the world did they switch?
