Making lists of ideas for gifts for people, stocking up on wrapping paper, ribbon and tape, untangling lights (and making sure they still work!) so they're ready to go, digging out address I only use at Christmas, stocking up on baking ingredients and checking every single coupon code I can find online to see if it's any help, and most importantly today, stamping cards! I love doing homemade cards, we bought once, and I hated it. We did photo cards our first two Christmas, but seriously, until there's a baby involved at this point, who wants a picture of us? So, hand stamped it is this year! My layers are all ready to go, I just have to get the right adhesive to put them all together.

I always have to coordinate my wrapping paper style for the year, to my cards. I don't know why, but I'm totally anal about that. All gifts under the tree (coming from within our house) must coordinate, the husband's not allowed to buy wrapping paper and must use whatever assortment I get that matches for all gifts. I put bows on almost everything and have to have matching gift tags on the gifts I give. And, every year I choose a color scheme for the cards that has to match the wrapping paper. So, this year, we're going with black and white, I found some great black and white snowflake paper earlier this fall at a great price and stocked up, so now the cards have to go with the theme.

I know, I'm weird, or at least my husband thinks so :)

I'll swear you could be my daughter! I just love ready your blog. You are me years ago. You seem like such a wonderful wife. Your mom in law should be ashamed of her self. She should thank her lucky stars for such a good wife to her son. And, that fa.-in-law I have no words for. Just don't let anger or resentment set in. It took me years to get rid of it. Slide their remarks off. Let them carry the resentment. You enjoy Thanksgiving.
